COPAL + Radio Jornalera MN
Radio Jornalera was the inaugural project for SSHH. Years earlier, SSHH’s founder Dex Wolfe, worked for COPAL doing get out the vote organizing. The local non-profit COPAL, which stands for Communities Organizing the Power and Action of Latinxs, had been dreaming since its founding of building a local community radio station that centers the Minnesota Latinx immigrant community, and more specifically day laborers (‘jornaleros’ in Spanish).
